Bible Verses about 'Rise up'
- Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you;
therefore he will rise up to show you compassion.
For the Lord is a God of justice.
Blessed are all who wait for him! - You have searched me, Lord,
and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar. - Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed. (They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.)
- For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
- Arise, Lord! Lift up your hand, O God.
Do not forget the helpless. - But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves.

even then I will be confident. - These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
- He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’
- But God has helped me to this very day; so I stand here and testify to small and great alike. I am saying nothing beyond what the prophets and Moses said would happen— that the Messiah would suffer and, as the first to rise from the dead, would bring the message of light to his own people and to the Gentiles.
- Hatred stirs up conflict,
but love covers over all wrongs. - And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name.
- He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds. - If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up. - When he had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, he lifted up his hands and blessed them. While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven.
- A gentle answer turns away wrath,
but a harsh word stirs up anger. - Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up.
- We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death and will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!
- Pride brings a person low,
but the lowly in spirit gain honor. - The vine is dried up
and the fig tree is withered;
the pomegranate, the palm and the apple tree—
all the trees of the field—are dried up.
Surely the people’s joy
is withered away. - After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.
- When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
- Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
- Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”
- After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God.
A cheerful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.Next verse!With image
